Unlike Italian machines, where the frame and engine numbers are usually different, on Servetas, the frame and engine numbers should be identical. Jet 200 VIN numbers start SX200.500001 and will have neither the IGM prefix number nor the Innnocenti stamp, as genuine Italian SX200s do (keep in mind the Italian machines have VIN numbers starting with SX200.800000). Although nominally based on the Li 150 Special, late Spanish Serveta Li 150s will have frame and engine numbers that start with '150LI-' (no 'S'). Unlike Italian machines, where the frame and engine numbers are usually different, on Servetas, the frame and engine numbers should be identical.

Li 150 VIN numbers start 150Li-300001 and will have neither the IGM prefix number nor the Innnocenti stamp, as genuine Italian Li 150s do. Keep in mind the Italian machines have VIN numbers starting with 150LI.500000 (Series 1), 150LI.800000 (Series 2), 150LI.600000 (Series 3), or 150LIS.200000 (Special). Early Spanish Li 150 VIN numbers (the one loosely based on the Series 2) start 150Li-500001 and again will have neither the IGM prefix number nor the Innnocenti stamp. I don't have clue where the Li 125 numbers lie.
Ther serial numbers of the Series 2 Li bikes do not have matching frame and engine numbers though they are usually within 20 of one another. The Series 2 TVs will not even be close since they have Italian motors and Spanish frames. Since no known person has accurate Serveta production numbers, our year by year production numbers are extrapolations from known numbers on title bikes. Sadly in 1971/2 the Innocenti factory closed it doors, as the then owners BMC decided Lambretta scooters were a gimmick and that production of cars was more important. It is quite sad to note, that between four to five years around this period, the people in charge of BMC have been reported to make strange decisions regarding the car market in the UK, which many historians consider to be the start of the demise of the British car manufacturers as well as the Italian Lambretta!
After Innocenti closed its doors for making two and three wheeled products, the factory was sold lock stock and barrel the Indian government, who set up Scooters India Limited. SIL still survives today, but only producing three wheeled products. Even SIL stopped production of two wheeled Lambrettas around 1998. The Spanish factory Eibar also continued long after the demise of Innocenti, building Lambrettas and Servetas in to the late 1980's. The Innocenti factory as it stands in 1995, most of the factory has been demolished and has apartments built on it, but some of the car producing factories, main gates, Centro Studi, the research and design building for Innocenti and other small buildings remain, most are due to be flattened.
